Impeach

Veteran Bruce Berry of Minneapolis, MN participates in a Veterans for Peace rally at the U.S. Capitol on January 25, 2007 in Washington, DC. The veterans group initiated a campaign to "advocate for the impeachment of President Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney" for their roles in the war in Iraq during the rally. I suppose impeachment might be a nice little diversion for the Dems to keep their supporters from paying any attention to the fact that THEY AREN'T DOING ANYTHING TO END THE WAR. (Not that their supporters seem to be terribly concerned.)

And as important as it is to remove a lame duck president from office with less than two years remaining in his last term, wouldn't you guys rather have the Democrats doing something a little more constructive?

Something else you might want to ask yourselves after you've laid down your "Impeach Bush" signs for the night....Just how important is it to you that Cheney to get a promotion?

Oh God. I just noticed. We're supposed to impeach Bush AND Cheney. Like some kind of Double Impeachment Thingy. So Nancy...alright, I get it.

Sometimes I forget that you guys like to refer to yourselves as "The Reality Based Community". I really don't expect you to understand why.

It's a list of the 25 most recent comments made by real Americans participating in an online poll/letter-writing campaign concerning the impeachment charges recently filed against Vice President Cheney, which are now being evaluated by the House Judiciary Committee. Comments can be sent to elected representatives and local newspapers at your option. The participation page is at:

Since this campaign began, three members of Congress have signed on as co-sponsors, in part due to hearing from their constituents. Make your voice heard!
