I host a daily public affairs radio show in San Francisco called Your Call. It airs from 11 am - noon PST on KALW 91.7 FM. I am also happy to report that I recently got a book deal with PoliPoint Press to write about my road trip through the heartland and the interviews I did with people about why they vote the way they do (or not). It's scheduled to be out in September.
I'm taking some time off from the news and technology to relax, read fiction, and spend time with the ocean. Merry Christmas and here's to a peaceful 2007...!

I'm currently writing a book about my recent six-month road trip to the so-called "red states." I also report for KALW 91.7 FM in San Francisco, AlterNet and Bay Area BusinessWoman.

Rose. We share passions; reading, peaceful co-existance, and leaving the streets of Iraq. Allow me to suggest a book for your break, the Qu’ran. Read it all if you have the time, if you don’t start with Chapter 9 (Repentance). I believe that this book, naming Chapter 9 in particular, is the most influential text in modern world history. It will probably continue to shape the 21st Century.
Thanks for addressing my issue. I’d be happy to buy you a copy of the Qu’ran for a late Christmas present.
