We're at War - Go Shopping!

I'm sure the thousands of troops who are being blown up and the tens of thousands who are missing limbs appreciated the comment. Merry Christmas.
Two days after Bush told Americans to go shopping, five American troops died in Iraq, making December the second deadliest month since the bombing began. So far, 76 troop died in Iraq this month.

Of course it wouldn't occur to anyone here (like it did to Michelle Malkin, see below) that shopping for our troops might be a nice way to celebrate Christmas. Or shopping for the children of fallen soldiers.
The gift of complaining is so much easier and welcome.

timmy, your hero didn't say, "shop for the troops." Michael Moore had care package links on his site right after we learned this war has no end in sight. Malkin is a few years too late.
I don't see why the words "go shopping" couldn't include our troops.
I'm only suggesting that instead of trying to find the downside to everything, why not hear those words and do something positive?

Yeah, after looking at these charity numbers for liberals it's too bad that care package link is on Michael Moore's site. There would be a much better chance of someone actually hitting it if it were on Michelle Malkin's site.

Hey Jack. Here's a tip. You lose all credibility with me (and I suspect many others) when you bring up the name Michelle Malkin. She's an idiot, Jack. I'm not talkin' merely a difference of policy or politics, she's just a non-white redneck. A classic 'reactionary,' as in doesn't really think very much, doesn't really debate points with any intellectual honesty, just reacts in predictable ways that add nothing to the public discourse. Gee, so nice what she's doing for the troops. She's still quite brainless, nonetheless. She's still spoofing John Lennon and thinking it's very clever of her. Someone should cue her in that no liberals under, say, 40, still listen to that song. Talk about being stuck in the '60s. She's stuck in the reactionary vision of the '60s.
Oh and for those of you reading this who don't know, MM sings a song called "All we are saying is give jihadis a chance," to the tune of JL's Give Peace A Chance. Yes, this is the lame stuff that passes for humor among her friends. I know, it's pathetic but ...
