We Shall Attack

For those of you who live in the Bay Area and enjoy loud music and fast guitars during the difficult times, Ozzfest tickets go on sale today. System of a Down, one of my favorite politically active metal bands, is scheduled to play:
TENTATIVE
Superstition taking all of us for a ride Mimes overtaken by the signs of
the Right The bombs are falling overhead with no sight While you are
talking all detached, so tell us

Where you going
To the bottom
Do you hear us
We are rotting

We're going down in a spiral to the ground No one, no one's gonna save us now

Ceremonies have killed religions for they provide The masked comforts to
delusionals, they're all in fright The true believer's head was bathed
in sunlight While you are walking all detached, so tell us

Where you going
To the bottom
Do you hear us
We are rotting

We're going down in a spiral to the ground No one, no one's gonna save us now Not even God, no one saved us No one's gonna save us

Where do you expect us to go when the bombs fall?
Where do you expect us to go when the bombs fall?
Where do you expect them to go when the bombs fall?
Where do you expect us to go when the bombs fall?

Superstition taking all of us for a ride Mimes overtaken by the signs of
the Right The bombs are falling overhead with no sight While you are
talking all detached, detached, detached, detached, detached

Going down, in a spiral to the ground
No one, no one's gonna save us now
Not even God, no one saved us, no one saved us No one saved us, no one's
gonna save us now

Where do you expect us to go when the bombs fall?
The following photos were taken during the April 2004 Fallujah attack by independent journalist Dahr Jamail. For more on what happened in Fallujah, read this Democracy Now interview with Al Jazeera reporter Ahmed Mansur and his cameraman Laith Mushtaq. They were one of the few teams reporting unembedded from the streets for the entire siege.

Young girl wounded during the fighting in Falluja in April, 2004.

Another young girl horribly wounded by US military aggression in Falluja.

Little boy, whose family claimed was shot by US sniper, died shortly after this photo was taken.

Two soccer fields were converted into cemetaries for over 1200 Iraqis killed in April.

“If you’re listening to a rock star in order to get your information on who to vote for, you’re a bigger moron than they are. Why are we rock stars? Because we’re morons. We sleep all day, we play music at night and very rarely do we sit around reading the Washington Journal.”

Generals gathered in their masses,
just like witches at black masses.
Evil minds that plot destruction,
sorcerers of death's construction.
In the fields the bodies burning,
as the war machine keeps turning.
Death and hatred to mankind,
poisoning their brainwashed minds.
Oh lord, yeah!

Politicians hide themselves away.
They only started the war.
Why should they go out to fight?
They leave that role to the poor, yeah.

Time will tell on their power minds,
making war just for fun.
Treating people just like pawns in chess,
wait till their judgement day comes, yeah.

Now in darkness world stops turning,
ashes where the bodies burning.
No more War Pigs have the power,
Hand of God has struck the hour.
Day of judgement, God is calling,
on their knees the war pigs crawling.
Begging mercies for their sins,
Satan, laughing, spreads his wings.
Oh lord, yeah!

Just trying to help you guys out with a little perspective, George.

That said, the concert should be pretty good. Truth be known, I like my rock commie-red and anarchy-black
