The Perfect Way to End Another Day of Depressing News

If it weren't for this line-up, I would go mad on nights in:

10:00 pm - The Daily Show

10:30 pm - The Colbert Report (it gets better every night)

11:00 pm - The Mike Malloy Show on Air America (exposing the lies of the Bush Crime Family with style - prepare to laugh out loud when you least expect it)

I like John Stewart and Colbert. I'd never heard of Mike Malloy before tonight so I found some clips from his show to check him out. Found this...where Mike advocates "beating the crap" out of someone:

MALLOY: "...but when they do make these sweeping uh... umm... statements about Democrats better watch out, I think they should be responded to, the way Hunter responded to Peggy Noonan's little boy here... uh just beat the crap out of them. If you can do it with the pen, fine. If you need to do it with the sword, that's ok, too... uhhh... you know it's said that the pen is mightier than the sword. alright, alright, that's fine."

Sounds like just the guy to lift your spirts after a day of depressing news.

Oh come on, don't judge until you listen for a few nights. I like him because he says what most 'liberals' are afraid to say...

I've been reading some transcripts from his show. Stuff like instructing a young Republican to hang up and "go open a vein"....mocking Christians...comparing the Republican Party to the Nazi Party (an unbelievable and sick trivialization of the crimes committed against Holocaust victims in my opinion), etc... Lovely bits.

Listen to him for a few nights? Thanks anyway, but not my cup of tea.

"I like him because he says what most 'liberals' are afraid to say"

I can't express how little comfort that gives me.

They've taught you well. Make judgements based on a few statements and write the guy off completely.

"They've taught you well."

Yes. The Roveian Mind Control Robots have taught me very well, thank you. One of us...one of us...one of us...

"Make judgements based on a few statements and write the guy off completely."

Oh, that's nothing. I've been known write guys off for one statement. Hell, I wrote Chomsky off the first time I read one of his anti-Semitic diatribes. I certainly don't need two weeks to write off creeps who endorse "beating the crap" out of people and casually throw around Nazi analogies for shock value. Oh yeah, those guys get their waliking papers right away.
