I host a daily public affairs radio show in San Francisco called Your Call. It airs from 11 am - noon PST on KALW 91.7 FM. I am also happy to report that I recently got a book deal with PoliPoint Press to write about my road trip through the heartland and the interviews I did with people about why they vote the way they do (or not). It's scheduled to be out in September.

We are ruining the planet
A Chinese freshwater dolphin has been declared extinct after desperate efforts to rescue it came too late.
One British zoologist described the loss of the Yangtze River dolphin as a "shocking tragedy".
It is the first official extinction of a large vertebrate for more than 50 years.
Experts say human activity killed off the long-beaked dolphin, which grew to 8ft weighed up to 500lb.
The animal is the first cetacean, the group of mammals that includes dolphins, whales and porpoises, to vanish from Earth as a direct result of human influence.

I'm surprised that there's anything living in rivers in China. Ever been there? The first thing you notice is the insane pollution levels everywhere.
