U.S. airstrikes in Afghanistan kill up to 80 innocent people

Do we really have to spend so much time analyzing why attacks around the world continue to increase? Isn't it obvious?

Jason Burke of The Observer UK reports: "Air strikes in the British-controlled Helmand province of Afghanistan may have killed civilians, coalition troops said yesterday as local people claimed that between 50 and 80 people, many of them women and children, had died."

Obviously you need to spend a little more time analyzing why attacks continue because your not even close to having it figured out. A little chat with Salman Rushdie might be useful for a little basic enlightenment....or read Christopher Hitchens latest piece in Slate if your having a really hard time figuring it out:

Hitch:

"But how are we to know what will incite such rage? A caricature published in Copenhagen appears to do it. A crass remark from Josef Ratzinger (leader of an anti-war church) seems to have the same effect. A rumor from Guantanamo will convulse Peshawar, the Muslim press preaches that the Jews brought down the Twin Towers, and a single citation in a British honors list will cause the Iranian state-run press to repeat its claim that the British government—along with the Israelis, of course—paid Salman Rushdie to write The Satanic Verses to begin with. Exactly how is such a mentality to be placated??
