Women Rule in Chile, Wal-Mart Refuses to Sell Emergency Contraception
*Michelle Bachelet, Chile's first female president, appointed a cabinet of 10 female and 10 male ministers. It's a significant change to the political status quo.
*Three Massachusetts women are suing Wal-Mart for refusing to stock emergency contraception in its pharmacies. The store only carries the pill in Illinois, where it is required under state law.
*Lawmakers in Georgia, Indiana, Ohio, South Dakota and Tennessee are introducing laws to ban all abortions except when a mother's life is in danger. If they had their way, that provision would not be necessary. Americans United for Life fears, if passed, the laws would be struck down by the lower courts.
